Finally finished my Brick Path Quilt!
So remember this? My first quilt is finally done! My mother most graciously did a lot of the hand sewing of the binding when she visited and I finally stitched up the last little 12" last night. I started this back in February but the binding was holding me up. I have too little patience for hand sewing! It's the Amy Butler Brick Path pattern and backed in a furry "cuddle-up" fabric - so snuggly!

Wow, it's stunning! I need to bite the bullet and learn to quilt. Maybe this summer?
ReplyDeleteLooks great Jaime! Congrats on finishing your 1st quilt!
ReplyDeleteThis was definitely a perfect quilt pattern for a beginner. Large "bricks", very forgiving, but I think I did a good job! The quilting was a simple stitch-in-the-ditch along the long lines. Unfortunately sometimes that stitching was over and under the ditch too -- I think I may have done better just shadowing my lines.
